Arthur Garfield Hays believes in
freedom and expression of opinion, within legal boundaries. He believes that if
people stay within the rules and regulations that are given to us, it would
keep our nation safe and in order.
Hays has a good point on how we
should voice our opinions but stay within boundaries. Without these limitations,
our nation might be in chaos. People would express their opinions when ever and
where ever they wanted. The affect of no limitations to freedom of speech would
be consequences that one might not like. However, because of those limitations,
most people will voice their opinions when and where it is appropriate. Without
freedom and expression of opinion, our nation would not be where it is today.
To me, we need limits and boundaries as much as we need freedom.
